Hold You In My Dreams was a song that came about after a conversation with a friend about how sometimes the people who like you don’t tell you. My friend is a forward person, if they like you, they will tell you. I am much more shy than this. I told my friend how shy I had been to tell my now wife how I felt about her at the beginning.
Not because I was unsure of my feelings, but more so that I was unsure how they would be received and how I very nearly didn’t tell her.
Hold You In My Dreams became the story of how I very nearly didn’t tell my wife about my feelings. Despite having planned every word, I still couldn’t tell her when I saw her and at times believed she would forever be someone I dreamt about.
